God instructs Saul to go into battle against the Amalekites, and to utterly destroy them and all they have. Saul goes into battle, but chooses to spare the life of Agag their king and the best of the sheep, oxen, fatlings, lambs, and all that was good.

Hell No! He Must Go!

1 Kings 20.

Ben-Hadad, king of Syria, aligns himself with 32 other kings and goes to war against Israel. The odds stacked against the people of God are awesome: we know that by the end of the second battle 127,000 of Ben-Hadad’s men had been slain, which means that he had at least that many to begin with.
